Fogia is an award-winning Swedish design company and furniture producer, collaborating with some of the most progressive contemporary designers working today. With roots in the Scandinavian design aesthetic, Fogia’s products are handmade in its own factory to stringent standards of quality and construction, using high-end materials and craftsmanship. Graceful elegance and purposeful function are realised through a genuine knowledge of craft and construction, whether it’s pieces for the home or public spaces.
Their furniture is crafted by hand from scratch in their own factory in Gdansk, Poland. They use the best mix of traditional and modern techniques, controlling production quality throughout the entire production chain. One of the main aspects that defines Fogia is their approach to selecting and working with wood and timber. They select timber while it still grows in the forests close to their factory, and always try to source locally to minimise transport. They also start with the uncut log, milling it theirselves to minimise waste. Their natural materials and suppliers are close partners, again allowing them greater control and to ensure they meet their own stringent environmental standards.
